sleeping commuters.

Nobody sleeps at night in Japan…only on trains. It’s like riding the Narcoleptic Express to work.

And, yes, sometimes they snore…and drool.

OMG, this is so hilarious. I love it! How do they know when to wake up to catch their stop?

Brilliant photos! I especially love the main one of the whole carriage. Definitely puts some perspective on my little commute!

Zablon- Usually the ride is quite long. My commute in Tokyo, for example, was almost two hours each way and I was lucky.

Carrie Anne- It’s one of those mysteries of life that commuters never miss their stop. My colleague’s experience, who fell asleep after being out drinking all night, was a different story.

Thank Niamh- Thank you! True, it’s hard for me to complain about Auckland traffic now. That whole train pic was in the middle of the day, by the way. You can tell because it’s not packed to the gills.

I’d be too terrified of missing my stop to snooze. I just love these photos, though.
